Soundstatues is the work of Neil Matharoo, based in Brooklyn, New York.

Matharoo has been releasing music ever since he moved to Brooklyn in 2007. The Soundstatues catalog ranges from hard rock to electronic music to acoustic guitar dirges.

Over the past few years, Soundstatues has gained a large international audience, with numerous features, interviews, and articles in major music websites and blogs. Current hot spots of listeners include Japan, Taiwan, Germany, France, and Russia.

In April 2016, Soundstatues went on tour in Taiwan, with a top-billing slot at the world-famous Spring Scream festival. Touring with Matharoo were Nat Boda on drums and Wes Wu on bass.

And in June 2017, Soundstatues headed back to Asia to tour Taiwan and Japan, again with the indispensable Nat Boda and Wes Wu.

In the summer of 2017, Matharoo joined forces with guitarist Andrew Schwartz to create a new band, called The Halt.
